1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Jump In Adventures ("Jump In Adventures," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit jumpinadventures.com (the "Site"), contact us, or book an adventure, event or service with us. It applies to information collected online and offline in connection with our services.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiry details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the destination, dates and group size you have in mind, the activities you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Booking details: if you book with us, information needed to deliver your trip or event, such as billing details, travel and passport information, emergency contacts, and information about your height, weight, age, fitness or medical conditions that is relevant to the safety of an activity.
- Event details: if you book a sky show, information about your organization, venue and branding.
- Communications: messages, calls and feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: when you visit the Site, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Preferences stored on your device: if you use the accessibility menu, your settings (such as text size or high contrast) are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Information from others
If someone books on your behalf (for example, a group organizer or a person giving you a gift), they may give us your name and contact details. Our activity partners may also share information with us about your participation, such as completed waivers.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry and send you plans and quotes.
- To plan, book and deliver your adventure, sky show, expedition or dropzone project.
- To keep you and others safe, including checking that an activity is suitable for you.
- To process payments and keep business, tax and insurance records.
- To communicate with you about your booking, and — only if you agree — to send you news and offers.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
We use sensitive personal information (such as passport, health or fitness information) only for the purposes you provide it for — delivering your booking safely and meeting legal requirements — and not to infer characteristics about you.
4. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business and deliver your booking:
- Service providers who work for us, such as our website host, email and form-processing providers, and payment processors. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Travel and activity partners who deliver parts of your trip or event, such as aircraft operators, instructors, guides, hotels, transport companies, security providers and insurers. We share only what they need.
- Authorities such as aviation, immigration or law-enforcement agencies, when required by law or needed for permits and approvals.
- Business transfers, if our business is sold, merged or reorganized.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
5. Cookies and similar technology
The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use analytics tools that track you across websites. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the fonts load; see Google's privacy policy for how it handles this information. If we add analytics or other tools in the future, we will update this policy first.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don't track you across websites, we don't change how the Site works in response to Do Not Track signals. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — which we do not do in any case.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep inquiry information for up to three years after our last contact with you, so we can follow up on your plans. We keep booking records, waivers and payment records for as long as we need them for legal, tax, insurance and safety purposes. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), gives you the rights described below. This section also serves as our notice at collection.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the past 12 months we may have collected the following categories, from you directly, from our partners and automatically from your device, for the purposes described in section 3:
- Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, IP address.
- Customer records (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) — contact, billing and passport information.
- Characteristics of protected classifications — age, and any disability or medical information you choose to share for safety reasons.
- Commercial information — the trips, events and services you inquire about or buy.
- Internet or network activity — technical data about your visits to the Site.
- Sensitive personal information — passport or government ID numbers and health information, only when needed for a booking.
We disclose these categories for business purposes to the recipients described in section 4. We do not sell or share (for cross-context behavioral advertising) any category of personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your rights
- Right to know and access the personal information we have collected about you, its sources, purposes and recipients.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still submit a request, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We only use it for purposes permitted by the CCPA.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email us at hello@jumpinadventures.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (or tell you if we need up to 45 more). To protect you, we will verify your identity by matching information you give us with information we hold. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for written permission from you and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets California residents ask about personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send highly sensitive information, such as passport numbers, through the website form.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. Bookings for minors, where an activity allows them, must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
10. International transfers
We plan adventures around the world, so your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one you live in, including by partners who deliver your trip. We take steps to make sure your information stays protected when it is transferred.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we will tell you more directly.
